Who are your Top 5 NBA players today and why?

Many players have had a breakout season in 07-08...

and many new players have impacted the game...

so who are your Top 5 as of now and why?

Who are your Top 5 NBA players today and why?nba jam

C: At center, I would say Dwight Howard. He is very strong and athletic, and although he is young, he shows great rebounding and scoring ability.

PF: Rasheed Wallace. Many people consider him to be a most importan player, to any team. He has great post-up skills, and when he starts backing a player down, it's almost a guaranteed turn-around that few will come close to contesting. He also blocks and rebounds nicely, which would make for a great twin-tower effect with Dwight. The final reason is his presence...ask anybody who has played with him, and you will hear nothing but praise for the way he motivates his team. When Sheed plays well, everybody plays well. Oh, and don't forget that Rasheed is one of only two power forwards in the league widely proven to be a Garnett stopper.

SF: Lebron James. I don't think I really even need to go into this one, but with the exception of Tayshaun Prince of the Pistons...few can guard him. Heck, even Prince found it nearly impossible last year's ECF.

SG: Kobe Bryant.

PG: Jason Kidd. I still feel that Kidd is the best point guard in the league, and if his lack of scoring would be more than made up for by the other 4.

Who are your Top 5 NBA players today and why?nba graphics ,nba teams

1. Dwight Howard --- slam dunk champ damn he amazed me

2. Kobe Bryant --- look at the numbers hes been puting up for years

3. LeBron James--- hes been carrying his team on his back for awhile now..

4. kevin garnett --- he carryed minnesota on his back for years he left minnesota is now worst team in the nba

5. allen iverson--- great ball handler scorer stealer he jsut gets the job done

the stats speak for themselves.. these guys just get the job done
10- Tracy McGrady- going good in the 2nd half eve without Yao

9- Allen Iverson- good in doing his lay-up

8- Dirk Nowitski- 3-pts and the rest

7- Steve Nash- he's good in 3-pt and in assists

6- Amare Stoudemire- he's offense is better than before

5- Kevin Garnett- he's good in rebounding and shooting near the paint and in the baseline

4- Dwight Howard- he's improving in dunks and defense

3- Chris Paul- he's improving in shooting especially in 3-pt line

2- LeBron James- his dunks and moves were great

1- Kobe Bryant- because he's good this season especially in shooting
PG - chris paul. best stats among all point guards and arguably best stats in the league. only reason why hornets are being talked about

SG - kobe. still the best player in the league even w/ a broken finger

SF - lebron

PF - tim duncan. this season as cemented his place as the best PF of all time

C - yao ming. u might argue that dwight is a lot better but yao has more all-around game
How can you people say Dwight Howard. who cares he was the Slam dunk champion.

5- Tracy Mcgrady Been doing it without yao and won 15 straight.

4- Allen Iverson Most underrated player in the league and is averaging almost 27 points a game.

3- LeBron James This trade is exactly what cleveland needed.

2- Kevin Garnett Enough said

1- Kobe Bryant Not enough a question?
If i had to choose starting 5 for my team ...

C- Dwight Howard- Superman

F- Tim Duncan/Kevin Garnett

F- Lebron James- 2nd Best player

G- Kobe Bryant - Best player in the World

G-Jason Kidd - for this year and next year because he is probably best passer atm and Great leader and one of the reason i choosing Kidd over Paul is that Kidd is better D player and I know his shooting is not very good but i dont think you will need good shooter when you have other players /

Chris Paul - He is young fast , good shooter , and leading the league with steal
It truly amazes me how many people don't have Tim Duncan in the top 5? Wow...most dominate player in the NBA as of right now!
1. KB24 - the greatest nba player on the planet

2. LBJ23 - almost triple double every night

3. CP3 - better than nash, kidd and deron

4. TD21 - 20 10

5. D12 - the next shaq
Since you asked for a top 5, I'll just choose my top 5 by position...and a 6th man!

C) Dwight Howard

F) Tim Duncan

F) Lebron James

G) Kobe Bryant

G) Chris Paul

6) Kevin Garnett
Steve Nash-My favorite NBA player and best PG in the NBA

Kobe Bryant-Best player in the NBA and possibly the MVP this season.

LeBron James-The best SF in the NBA and MVP Candidate.

Kevin Garnett-He help change the Celtics around from a 24 win team to so far a 46 win team.

Chris Paul-He has really showed why he is a great PG and he is taking his team to the playoffs.
1.Howard

2.Dirk..

3. Lebron

4.Kobe

kobe bryant- unbelieveable player is an understatement

jason kidd-master of leadership

t-mac- underrated taletned player

Where can I compare the today's NBA teams' game-by-game record with last year's?

Game-by-game so I can see how well they are doing at this point of the season.

Go to NBA.com or the teams website.

Which is the best team in the NBA right now?

before the season started I'd say the Spurs, but right now I think it's Celtics, Lakers, or Pistons...what do you think

Which is the best team in the NBA right now?nba live 2007

It's a tough call especially for the West. Right now, I would say Lakers. Bynum was already doing fine in the post but the addition of Gasol will help with the triangle offense.

Which is the best team in the NBA right now?nba betting ,nba teams

I am a Celtics fans but still think the Pistons are to be feared. They are experienced and can win the close games with smart play late in the game
It's definitely the Los Angeles Lakers

Celtics have cooled off and Pistons are always great.
The Celtics, their record says it all.
I know I;m going to get thumbs down for this but I dont care, has to be the Dallas Mavericks, they have the ability to beat almost every team. I know people are still on that stupid golden state warriors series but regular season means nothing without a title so shove it up your butthole because the warriors are not even going to make it to the playoffs this year and neither did they win a title last year so...

Suns are great too but I don't know about the whole shaq trade that was weird and he doesn't fit with them

And it seems you hopped on the bandwagon bus to boston and lakers...you'll be getting off crying soon
i'll say celtics, there new and a fresh team.
Lakers right now...
This season? West would be Lakers, and East would be Celtics. In NBA it would be Spurs because untill there's a new NBA Champion, they're still the world's champs and the best for now.

I still love Lakers vs. Celtics in the finals though. It would be so exciting and fun to watch.
Moe if i could give thumbs up (im only a level 1) id give you 2 of them man! i like ur style

ummmm Celtics are 41-9!! (Best Record in the NBA)

16-0 against the West

Dont be mad at the facts poeple..the facts dont lie.. i dont care if i get thumbs down give me as many as you want!

How have we cooled down?? we cooled down a littttle just because Garnetts been hurt. big deal ..were still 6-2 without him including a big win over the spurs.

We beat Orlando, Detroit, Dallas, Lakers (by 20)

WE also lost ONE game in November, ONE game in December, 5 in January(oh no!) and one game so far this month

Only other team people got an argument with is maybe dallas if they pick up kidd, lakers, suns
It's still the SUNS
carmelo anthony + a iverson= championship
U forgot about the Phoenix Suns.
Pistons. They are deep, experienced, talented, a REAL team.
cavs
suns in my opinion. hornets will go deep in the playoffs though
THe suns are done, they just lost to the Warriors aka the midget crew.

Who's a pretty decent big man in the NBA?

It's for my fantasy team. I already have Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Andre Iguodala, Kevin Durant, Al Jefferson. Who's a decent big man besides Carlos Boozer, Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Al Jefferson, Tim Duncan, Pau Gasol, Yao Ming? All of those are already drafted. I want non-injury prone players. Players who could play more than 70 or 75 games per season. I also want players who put up the stats consistently. Also those who you think will have a break out season because of the roster changes. I'm 4th pick out of 6. Who are these big men? Ummm... Maybe you could include other good F and G for future picks. Someone in the level of J-ho or TJ Ford. Also consistent and non-injury prone.

Who's a pretty decent big man in the NBA?nba all star

Kevin Garnett is the obvious choice. But you might want to take a long shot chance on Chris Webber.

Who's a pretty decent big man in the NBA?tickets ,nba teams

KG for sure...for guard i'd pick up Chauncey as he's going to have an awesome year this year as some of the collapse of my pistons was his fault even though he's my favorite player on the team it was partly his fault...honestly I'd pick up jason maxiell for f as he is going to have a good year...last preseason he was the leading scorer he played a lot last years playoffs and hopefully he lost some more weight or gained more muscle because his shot has improved and his energy is extremely high...
Karolinga Utah Jazz
Eddy Curry is a decent big man, consistent here, these are his numbers

ppg-19.5

rpg-7.00
shaq
Tyson Chandler. LaMarcus Alderidge.
Amare, Dirk, Shaq, Brand when healthy, Chandler, Ben Wallace
lamar odom isnt amazing but he would work for a guy playing a 3-4 position. KG is an obvious pick...the bucks got that rook Yi or something like that, it would be a gamble but hes a real big man. eddie curry in NY has shown major improvment and might also be a decent pick. and what about AK47, Andrei Kirilenko for utah always solid in the stat sheet. ben wallace from chicago, rasheed wallace from detriot. theres some hope that works for ya...
go for Dirk, because i believe that he and the Mavs will bounce back with a vengeance this season.
Dirk, all the big men you named can't really shoot except for Bosh. the world's level of basketball is improving right now, all the big men from other country can swish three. that's why the usa is losing the olympic and FIBA last year. duncan can not keep up with dirk, that's they need BOWEN to guard him.
try andres biedrins or diop, while dampier is injured, juwan howard is a very good pick if he is still available. or mark blount.

Who should my new favorite NBA team be?

Embarrassingly I am a Knicks fan but I 've just about had enough. I hate Isiah Thomas, I always have. Everything he touches turns to (you know) and the Knicks are no different. I want to switch my allegiance to a new team. I have a few teams that I'm considering but who do you think I should root for next season and why?

Who should my new favorite NBA team be?nba mvp

WARRIORS WARRIORS WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!

Dude go with the Warriors... their story about finally making the playoffs and pulling off one of the greatest upsets ever!! Be a warriors fan! Have you seen all the exciting plays the Baron dunk over AK47! They got in the playoffs playing basically with their real team for only have the season ( Stephen Jackson and Al Harington can in the middle of the season)... Monta Ellis so frikin young and still pulling off game winners.... Jason Richardson crazy dunks and awesome 3 point shots.... and back to BARON beating the Mavericks in game one with 33 POINTS..... WARRIORS ARE THE WAY TO GO NEXT SEASON.... oh yea i forgot about DON NELSON beating his old Mavericks.... DUDE BE A BELIEVER LIKE ME AND MY OTHER FELLOW WARRIOR FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Who should my new favorite NBA team be?nba trades ,nba teams

SPURS!!! heck yea.... im from 'around there'!! they are the best, the brightest, and yes... the oldest... but they still take everyone down!!
The spurs!!! They are a great team because the just won the championship and have the soon-to-be best PG in the L in Tony Parker, the most unorthodox player in Ginobili, and Tim Duncan, enough said.
I would say either the Cleveland team or the Nuggets(denver)

If you want a good Baseball team--- Go with the Colorado Rockies... Even the New York Yankee's cant beat em....
Ofcourse...SPURS....3rd championship in 5 years.....the best three playes in the league....Duncan,Parker,Ginobili........... think they gonna win next year championship tooooooo......so u can't be a SPURS hater...cuz they r the next Dynasty....
DALLAS MAVERICKS!!!
dont be a fairweathered fan, nobody likes those kinds of people who only like their team when they are good. stick with the knicks.
This might be too much to ask a Knicks fan to do, but try pulling for the Indiana Pacers. True, they stunk last year, but at least they're purging their roster of the bad apples associated with that stuff.
The Suns!! Good track record, awesome team, fun to watch. Give em a try next season!
san antonio the next dynasty team dont hate haters a class organization. ed from the chi
Sorry to burst your bubble but the Knicks created problems long before Isaiah got there. I am not a fan of IT but don't blame this on him.

He didn't sign Larry Johnson, Allan Houston, Penny the list goes on........ Bad moves were being made long before he touched it.
Portland Trail Blazers. They have a pretty good base for a new start -- not to mention the #1 pick next week (Oden). There's no place to go but UP with these guys.

Brandon Roy, Lamarcus Aldridge, Greg Oden, and a good coach in Nate McMillan. This team is finally getting it together since pretty much losing it during the "Jail Blazers" era.

I'm with you on Thomas. Somehow he seems to manipulate his way into management/coaching and really messes things up.
Definet;y not the Lakers. They are a circus side show.

The smart pick would be the Spurs but the Suns are easily the most exciting team to watch whereas the Spurs are relatively boring.
What Ever Team you watch The most But Mine is the PISTONS
It depends. If you live in New York you might want the Nets just because they still have some hometown likeness. I'm guessing that's why you liked the knicks. If you just want a good team then any of these will do.

Are the Celtics the team to beat in the NBA this year?

They have sweeped the spurs in the season series, was the only team to beat the houston rockets in the last 2 months, and has 3 scorers who are unselfish in ray allen, paul pierce, kevin garnett. Rondo is playing good and cassell is an experienced point guard. They also beat detroit in the season series.

Are the Celtics the team to beat in the NBA this year?nba playoff bracket

Yes, i hate the Celtics but honestly they are, i cant argue with that

Are the Celtics the team to beat in the NBA this year?nba trade rumors ,nba teams

Yes they are because they can beat everyone East and West they can beat them all, GO CELTICS.
The short answer is no. The reason is simple, there are so many good teams in the west vs so many bad teams in the east that that the displacement of records between the best in the West and the best in the East has to take in to consideration playing sub-.500 teams in the East 50% of the time. YOU SHOULD WIN THOSE GAMES. That doesn't make you the best in the league. Try coming off playing a Houston to then play a Portland (out of the playoffs but still way over .500...they could beat you!). When the playoffs roll around the seven game format will demonstate the teams built to last and those with holes. Injuries or not, when those playoffs begin the Lakers will be there; but more importantly in the East Detroit will be there. But team to beat in this market...clearly there is no one team.
you know at the beginning of the year i was a little skeptical

about Bistin but now I think that if they can get by Detroit then they might be the only team that stands a chance against the West powerhouses, plus i would mind seeing their big 3 win a

championship.
Definitely the Celtics are the team to beat. They have shown they can take on the best from the West. What more can you ask for 3 teams (San Antonio, Houston and Dallas) all with a combined winning pct. at home of 80%. and they beat them all on the road. Championship teams win tough road games against good teams. I think the Celtics proved that on this sweep of the Texas Triangle. If they beat the New Orleans on the road on Saturday that would 4 of the top 7 teams from the west on the road in 6 days. It doesn't get any better than that. GO CELTICS!!!!
They do have a serious team this year and yes, I think they are the team to watch. It is about time they return to their former greatness of the Larry Bird days. LOL.
At the moment, it does seem like it.
Hell yeah!
Boston has a real shot because their defense gives them a chance every night not to mention you cannot stop every member of the big three every night one will hurt you. They are now after the win against the Rockets 22-4 against the West. The additions of PJ Brown and Sam Cassell sured up the bench for Boston. Powe, House, Posey, and Baby Baby Davis have all played well in their roles this season. I think they are and should be the favorities.
After the hurt that they put on my rockets last night, i have to agree that they are the team to beat. best in the east vs best in the west witht the best coming out in the end. They have very unselfish team in that they pass the ball outstandingly and its not wonder they are the number 1 defense. They really showed it last night against our number 2 defense.

WOW, that was an extremely challenging question. I actually thought I could get the answer quite easily, as I looked over teams. But everytime I checked your stats, I was wrong. I thought I had it with derek fisher... and the stats were oh soo close... but alas it didn't work, so I kept looking. I was about to give up when I realised I could google it, and then I found him, Lindsey Hunter. Good question!

Are you disappointed with the NBA playoffs this year?

I'm really happy that the Cavs made it to the finals, but does anybody think the playoffs weren't that special this year? as in the regular season, we all thought the Mavs had it all, no doubt. Then Phoenix.... they were wow, but they made it further than the Mavs.. Golden State- they were SO exciting to watch, Baron Davis and Matt Barnes, S-Jax, they were awesome. i don't have a clue how they didn't get passed Utah. and then you have the east- Baby Bulls, amazing young team who didn't have the experience.

So anyway, are you excited with the playoffs this year or is it just ehhh, so- so?

Are you disappointed with the NBA playoffs this year?nba records

I think it was better than most expected. I'm not disappointed at all, especially since "Someone New" is going to play in the Finals. This year we got to see a lot of players who we might not have seen during the regular season. For example B. Davis %26amp; crew %26amp; D. Williams and the Jazz. These teams didn't get a lot of time on ESPN or TNT this past season! Just the same as a lot of people outside the Midwest may not have gotten the chance to see Luol and the Bulls like I have. I enjoy seeing new faces accomplish great things! GO CAVS!!

Are you disappointed with the NBA playoffs this year?nba championships ,nba teams

yea...you pretty much said it.
Well, I figured the Suns would be unbeatable...Knew the Mavs would choke, as they always do...Now, the Spurs pretty much have it wrapped up...LeBron's ride stops here...
the spurs are doing what they do best, dominating the nba in a dark era. to duncan's credit, at least he will be able say that he earned his rings and that he could have done it anywhere else. can't say the same for the rest of his teammates except robert horry, but we all know how many teams he has led to a championship, ahahahah
yeah its exciting. especially the cavs, who no doubt is a young team, made it to the finals for the first time in franchise history.
I think the playoffs have been pretty exciting...Im on record as having been saying (even on yahoo since the early spring) that the Mavs or the Suns would not go far in the playoffs so that is no surprise to me, it is a pleasant surprise however that the Cavs have advanced past Detroit (who will be looking to get tougher inside...and probably miss big ben a lot after watching Lebron dunk or layup 8 times late in game 5 of the last series) ... the Spurs always play at a high level, and I for one am glad the Mavs and Suns got exposed as 'weak interior defenders' who will probably never get titles...
The warriors were very exciting to watch this year, and watching James has been pretty awesome........
As a lifelong Cavs fan this is the best playoffs I can remember!
yeah i thought the playoffs were good

i liked the first round upsets

i would have rather seen ...a healthy d. wade play against lebron in the e.c. finals

and seen baron take on mr duncan'

but it was still good

but the spurs jazz games were so boring....they should have never put those games on national tv.

lebron did his thing against the pistons his 48 point game was a nice touch to the series

all the games were close ( well no the last game) which made it a good series
the playoffs have been greeat this year. Golden state started it off wit ha great upset and great brand of b-ball that included long threes and a dunk of the decade by davis knocking out the international paper champion Dirk. Then DUncan and CO. beat up on the great white hope in NAsh, the most overated player in the NBA. Put Lebron on the SUns and he has two rings already. Now Lebron has added excitement and glitz to the NBA reminding us of the days of that 23 guy. Gme five was better than anything we saw in the last five yrs of playoffs. The Bulls are looking like the new Pistons, 5 great pieces that good players who play liike a team. Dontr know why the LAkers dont do everyhing possible to get Kobe some help, I will give you odom, our center and the next 3 first round draft picks for KG, then guys like jason kidd and jemaine o-neal would come to lesser money and incentive based contracts to win a ring. Anyway the finals will be great and the cavs wit hther superstar vs. the business like Spurs. Turtle vs , the Hare.
I think the playoffs are always exciting and this year was no different. Plenty of new tension and drama. Golden State beating Dallas was quite a kickoff. I'm a Mavs fan and I saw what they did to us. It hurts a lot. It was just a freak matchup nightmare but still very exciting basketball. Utah was simply the better team than GS and didn't have the bad matchup issue. Defending Champions losing in a sweep? I don't think anyone saw that coming. Then the Bulls/Pistons matchup was some good energetic ball. Phoenix/San Antonio boiled into a full fledged rivalry. Almost as heated as the Spurs/Mavs last year. (Side note: Horry's hit was hard, but not suspension worthy. Steve Nash was just off balance and totally unprepared for it.) NOw LeBron's elevation tot rue superstar status with his amazing game ending performance is just awesome. This is good stuff.
Very Disappointed. 1st off the eastern Conf is just GARBAGE. If a team below .500 shouldnt even be allowed in the playoffs. If they dont find any other team int he east that is above .500 , western team should automatically qualify to take the spot. Sucks to see Arenas and Butler out with season ending injuries, while medicore team, the CAVS, came and won against the wizards. Had there been arena and butler the Cans wouldnt eben get past the 1st round. Bulls should have made a better effort against the pistons. The pistons and the Cavs games were rigged. NBA simple wants Lebron to be in the finals. He can and is marketted better than the pistons as a whole. Cavs fav s have not ever seen cavs inthe playoff, so more tickets and merchadise sales and more revenue. Same thing happened last year with the heat... League wanted them to win. This year it does not matter, Spurs are going to Whip that a$$.Lebron is going to wish he had better teammates and a supportinf cast that Duncan has.

SPURS in 5
I think they were special. They showed that the regular season isn't all it's cracked up to be.
i hope the finals is goin to be much better than previous games, cause other than watchin Golden State in the playoff the rest was disappointin. disappoiting doesn't even explain the word.
I think it had up and down moments but overall I was pleased. We got to see some new teams and new faces.
So, you got lots of surprises in the playoffs, and you are not happy about it? Would you have been happier to get the Mavs and the Pistons in the Finals? either you want exciting, which means that the games are not easily predictable - which has happened. Or, you want predictability of the top teams winning through.

You need to make up you mind about what you want. The playoffs have been very exciting.
I loved watching my Warriors, and I know they will be better next season, so that is something to look forward to
yeah i am but look at the spurs in the past i mean you could almost see them getting to the finals again!
How can you not be excited?! This is history, the Cavs have never been in the NBA finals! Lebron James is a beast and Daniel Gibson is a wolf in sheeps clothing! GO CAVS! PS. Don't forget we beat the Spurs in the regular season...
Shantosh stop being so butt hurt. Anyway, how can you not be satisfied? GS beat Dallas, Nash got a gashed up nose and still played like a star. Utah beat GS cause of match up issues like. Too many bigs pounding the boards to get second shots and their D limited GS. I will be honest the EC was boring until the Cavs and Pistons match up. That was fun to watch. I will say though is it the mics or something is the EC arenas quiet or what? Only place in the east that was consistently loud and chanting DEFENSE was the Cavs place in the ECF. I am satisfied with these playoffs.
No way! Im just glad the Spurs are in! GO SPURS GO!

What was the closest MVP race in NBA history?

The closest MVP race in recent memory was between Duncan and Kidd in 2002 (Duncan had 57 first place votes compared to Kidd's 45). Was there a closer MVP race than that season?

What was the closest MVP race in NBA history?nba draft

Well, one that should've been closer was '01 and Iverson came out a lot higher over Kobe even though Kobe should've been closer if not won it.

What was the closest MVP race in NBA history?ncaa ,nba teams

75-76

Kareem 52 first place votes

Cowens 48 first place votes

McAdoo 47 first place votes
kobe and paul
1989-1990. Magic won his 3rd MVP despite getting only 27 1st place votes compared to Barkley's 38. Magic had 636 points, Barkley had 614, and some guy named Jordan finished 3rd with 571. Malone, Ewing, Robinson, and Olajuwon also received 1st place votes.
2005, Steve Nash of the Suns vs Shaq of the Heat

Who is the most underpayed basketball player in the NBA?

I think its Monta Ellis taking in only $770,610 for the 2008 season while Kosta Perovic who is also on the Warriors has played 7 minutes in his career and makes $1,800,000 for the 2008 season

Who is the most underpayed basketball player in the NBA?basketball players

Thats a good choice. but Ellis and Kosta are stuck on the CBA pay scale so in a way they don't count since the Warriors are pretty much locked into having to pay them that.

Who is the most underpayed basketball player in the NBA?kobe bryant ,nba teams

Yeah, statistically Monta Ellis jumps off the page. Jose Calderon is another.
Monta Ellis. Also Chris Paul he's only making a bit over 3 million and he probably should be making at least 10 million per year.

Nickster
I would agree with Monta Ellis. His name came to my mind before I even read the entire questions!
Andrew Bynum cause hes getting paid only like 2 million
ellis is still on his first contract. DUH!!

not to mention he was a second round draft pick. so due to where he was drafted, he is not underpaid. he will get his money after this season
Monta Ellis!

He's the first person who came to mind before I saw that you mentioned him.

Even though he didn't make the all-star game, he is definitely an all-star caliber player.

He deserves to be paid more! He is very valuable to the warriors and would be valuable to any team! He is a beast and is still improving every single day. Just wait til he reaches his prime--he'll be unstoppable.

Even though he's only 22 and it's only his third season, he definitely deserves to be paid AT LEAST 1 million dollars per season.
shaquille o'neal hands down
not taking into account the nba salary restrictions that limit his salary this year, its ellis.

if you dont count ellis because of the payscale hes on, then id say its ron artest whos both underrated and underpaid at 8 mil a year
Monta Ellis...

What are some good NBA books out there?

Right now I'm reading "The Last Season" by Phil Jackson. It's actually really entertaining, I love reading about all the inside stuff between Kobe and Shaq and all that. I'm a big Lebron fan, any other interesting books out there you can kindly suggest?

What are some good NBA books out there?college

Many good books to choose from. Larry Bird's Biography was very good for a recent spin on things

NBA great Connie Hawkins wrote a highly acclaimed book called "Foul" and that one is great reading.

Wilt Chamberlain wrote about his life and the NBA and his books were very worthwhile reading"

"A View From Above" His best, I think.

"Who's Running The Asylum"

"Just Like Any Other 7-Foot Millionaire Who Lives Next Door"

Two more classics which are very good:

Mark Heisler: "Giants"

Terry Puto: "Tall Tales"

I highly recommend all of these. Good reading to you.

Wilt, 1962. It is about Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game. I read it and it is a very good book.

When you think of an NBA "superstar" who has alot of 0's in his career, who come'

For me it's Kobe Bryant:

0 MVP's

0 Final's MVP's

0 Assist Titles

0 SI Sportsman of the year titles

0 season's shooting over 50% from the field

0 Ring's without Shaq

0 times being a good role model

0 50+ point games in the playoffs

0 mentally stable fans

So I'm going with Kobe... Who do you say?

When you think of an NBA "superstar" who has alot of 0's in his career, who come's to mind?nba draft picks

Yeah that guy is full of zeroes. Kobe Bryant is an overrated shotjacker!

When you think of an NBA "superstar" who has alot of 0's in his career, who come's to mind?nba playoffs ,nba teams

shaq is just big . he wasnt even athletic
Your just a hater.Wait till Alpha wolf see's this.
Kobe nothing else needs to be said.
Kobe sucks !

He needs to hire a hitman to kill himself, after he rape himself

firefly you're stupid alpha's a chump, lowlife kobe lover
um....to me that would be Vince Carter....you talk about someone who dissappears completely come playoff time....who was billed as the next Jordan...and has come up with

0 MVP's

0 Final Appearances

0 Conference Finals Appearances

0 Assist Titles

0 Scoring Titles

0 All Star Game MVP's (even though he's been voted #1 numerous times)

0 Championships

0 selections on the NBA all-defensive team

0 selections on the NBA 2nd defensive team

0 selections on the NBA First Team

....I got 10 for Vince you only have 9 for Kobe...
you can make a case like that for almost anyone. watch, lebron, 0 mvps, final mvps, assist titles, rebounding titles, championships, times led the league in fg% the things that he has 0 in are so specific and most people don't have any of those either. if it was a huge superstar and he like never made the all star game or playoffs, that's different but 0 si sportsman of the years, championships W/OUT someone on his team, most ppl haven't even won one with someone great on their team. idk if i am being clear but what i mean to say is that those stats don't mean anything. and by the way, don't talk about things you don't know about, he has been a great role model before, has many mentally stable fans and he is a GREAT SUPERSTAR. there are very few people who i think have the right to talk down on kobe and you are by far not on that level to critize him. once become better then him, then critisize but you're not there yet so don't.
How 'bout Steve Nash?

0 Finals MVP's

0 All-defensive team selections

0 Championships

0 Sportsman of the year titles

0 50+ point games in the playoffs

0 years averaging over4.9 Reb's/gm

0 years avergaing at least 1 stl/gm

0 Rings without Shaq

0 chances of winning a championship

I figured I'd add 2 stupid things like you did.

(I respect Steve Nash, for the record)

My top 10 NBA players today.. Agree or disagree?

these are my top 10 players today

1. nash - the head of the snake of one of the most exciting team in the league, makes his teammates better.

2. kobe - cant say about these guy, these player probably has no weakness from his game.. can shoot anywhere on the floor. he's the player you dont want to shoot in clutch situation if you're an opposing team

3. wade - one of the best young stars.. i pick ahead of lebron bec he's a different player when the game is on the line, just like kobe

4. duncan - the best player of the last team standing last season

5. lebron - incredible quickness at his size, great passer, probably no one in the league can stop him on the open court.. he needs to polish his killer instinct and improve his decision making during crucial moments of the game.

My top 10 NBA players today.. Agree or disagree?baseball

I agree totally with most your picks. particularly nash and kobe. Not so sure about wade yet, id put him lower on the list till we see how good he is this next season.

Lebron and duncan i'd say are interchangeable, both amazing players, but lebron is younger and has more future.

T-Mac is great but he DID win a playoff series when he was with the raps (go T.O.!!) although he wasnt as important. Im not sure id rate TMac above JKidd though.

So Conc. Good top 10, if i had to change it would be this:

1.Nash

2. Kobe

3. Duncan

4. Lebron

5. Wade

6. KG

7. Nowitzki

8. JKidd

9. TMac

10. Yao

My top 10 NBA players today.. Agree or disagree?nba playoff schedule ,nba teams

one thing pal, tmac HASN'T win a playoff series yet.. he left toronto in summer of 2000 and the raptors first playoff series win was 2001.. Report It

disagree wheres rip hamiliton Report It

1.lebron james

2.nash

3.nowitzki

4.KG

5.d wade

6.yao

7.arenas

8.melo

9.chris paul

10.dwight howard Report It

where is Iverson??????????
disagree, KG should be #1 kobe should be #5
i agree except on one.. wheres tony parker?
looks good, but I'd have include Shaq in there. I know he's getting old, but he's still the most dominant big man in the game, when he applies himself and when he's healthy. Would also slide KG down the list...
Thats a very nice top 10, however, i dont think nash would be #1, hes like top 5 for me, these are my players:

1. Kobe

2. Yao

3. Wade

4. Nash

5. Lebron

6. Garnett

7. Arenas

8. Duncan

9. Tmac

10. Vince Carter
Disagree

- Nash doesn't play defense...flopping is not defense. SO that makes him not good at everything in basketball so he is not the best player in the game...I would put him at no. 3 behind kobe at 1 and duncan at 2

- Kobe is the best player in the game...he would be a willing passer if his teammates could actually catch basketballs and have an IQ! He is a very skilled player and a top notch defender

- Wade over duncan...are you kidding me? who needed 97 free throws while shooting 44 % from the field to win the finals? NOT DUNCAN

- Kevin Garnett belongs in the top 10 but not that high...if he was that GOOD he would've gone to the playoffs with a decent team around him such as Ricky Davis and Randy Foye

the rest look aiite for me
MELO !!! Do you see how much he has improved ? You need to watch the FIBA Games, he is a beast now.
I think you forgot someone on your list....................................... IVERSON!!! ALLEN IVERSON!!! ALLEN IVERSON!!!, plus Carmelo Anthony he is playing possessed on Team USA and what about Vince Carter, I know Jason Kidd is in the Nets to but without Vince Carter the Nets would not be in the playoffs and Gilbert Arenas the man can playmake, score and play defense.

Heres my top 10

1. Kobe Bryant

2. Tim Duncan

3. Kevin Garnett

4. Allen Iverson

5. Jason Kidd

6. Steve Nash

7. Dirk Nowitzki

8. Gilbert Arenas

9. Vince Carter

10. Tracy McGrady..the only reason why he's last is because he has never won a playoff series in 11 years in the NBA.

Following that would be Carmelo Lebron and Wade in that order. Both LeBron and Wade GOT LUCKY to go the NBA Finals and everyone KNOWS IT.
No argument here.
Kinda disagree

1. Kobe

2. Lebron

3. Duncan

4. Nash

5. Garnett

6. Wade

7. Yao

8. Nowitzki

9. Dwight Howard

10. SHAQ

Why I still say Shaq, because whenever he's on the court everyone get better even though he doesnt dominate as much.
Nash and Duncan are definitely #1 and 2.
billups?!-----def one of the top ten to me anyway....you gotta admit hes pretty damn good!!
I believe in what I believe it's just what I believe so I should believe what I believe in you know?
I agree pretty much on all of them but again where is Tony Parker?
i think Yao should be in the top 5......and i disagree with Kidd being on your list, hes a great player but i dont think he should be on the list...i also think KG should be lower in the rankings..
I agree with u. except maybe jason kidd can switch with dwight howard or amare stoudemire. i like the list a lot, because u listed all the great players, except i might disagree some with the placing of the players. good work.
I'd say that you have a pretty nice top ten on the whole, but you need to do some more research on Kobe. He is not clutch. He is actually 15-58 shooting in the clutch, which is terrible as you probably already know.

2007 NBA Draft....What u think now??

so...on draft night, portland got Oden (that was a no-brainer pick) Sonics got Durant and Milwaukee got Yi...What are your thoughts on this? how do you see the 2007-08 season from this years draft?? my faithful opinion...Blazers are heading in the right direction, so is New York, Atlanta, Boston and maybe, maybe Charlotte.

2007 NBA Draft....What u think now??nba salaries

Winners:

Portland: No explanation needed.

Warriors: If this move gets KG, then this is move gets an A+++! However, if it doesn't...its just a B+. It's nice to get rid of J-Rich's contract but he's still a good player. I would've liked this move better if it wasn't B.Wright though. He has nice upside....but of all the top 10 guys, this guy has the biggest bust potential. Still, if Wright can thrive anywhere, it might be in G.S.'s uptempo style where his athletcism will outshine his lack of real basketball skills....and they don't really need J-Rich with all their wings. Like the Bellini pick though. Maybe I'll upgrade to a A-.

Celtics: People clown on Ainge no matter WHAT he does. if he drafted for himself, he'd get critcized for keeping the team too young again. now that he finally brings in a veteran star, he gets clowned for not keeping the pick. The key is, the Celts play in the JV league called the Eastern conference. Yeah this team isn't a championship team, but its enough to make some noise in the East. People that haven't seen Al Jefferson this year, have never seen him, he's MUCH better. And Rajon Rondo is a PG who I think will have a sleeper of a season (make note: late sleeper pick in fantasy bball!). I honestly wouldn't be shocked if this team not only made the playoffs but won a round or two.

And lets not forget, Ainge in the process dumped the bad contract of Wally, who is hurt every year, and also picked up two very nice sleeper picks in the second round in Pruitt and Big Baby. Both have a good shot of making the team which is nice. I give them a B+.

Btw, I like Seattle's move too....cept I don't love Jeff Green. I see how his game might compliment Durant's well.....still, when youre trying to rebuild a franchise, you try to get superstars first, not complementary role players. Brewer has much more upside than Green, and he might even have a higher floor as well cuz of his defense. Good idea....wrong pick IMO.

Not as great as people think:

Hawks: Can't hate on the Horford pick...he should be a good one. Still, I have a feeling Conley will be great. And the thing is, the dropoff from Conley to Acie Law is pretty big. I loved Acie in college, but he's not an NBA all-star type talent. I think they get a B, but heck, I'll give em an A just for not screwing things up as usual.

Not as bad as people think:

Knicks: Their trade makes sense to me on both sides. Portland gets rid of Zach and his contract and makes room for Oden and Aldridge in the frontcourt. The Knicks get a LEGIT 20/10 guy that can definitely put up points without giving up much at all. Franchise struggled through injuries and could hardly earn consistent mins even when playing. Frye....might be one of the MOST OVERRATED players in the NBA. He's a soft C that can shoot outside....whoopdeedoo. Curry and Zach sounds very soft in the defense department, but they are very good low post scorers....and Zach has some range too. Not the BEST move but not deserving of the ridicule Isiah is getting. However, I guess Zach moving to NYC might be dangerous. He could get into trouble, or maybe he gets fat eating at all the nice restaurants and sitting there all night at Scores.

Honorable mentions :

Spurs - Geez, I hate the Spurs organization. They keep getting decent to good finds late in drafts and Tiago might be another one. This guy has semi entered the draft for the past 2-3 years and always talked about as a top 15 pick. The Spurs get him at 28 and then get a decent athletic SF in Marcus Williams.

Sixers - Just a nice draft overall. Couldn't move up....but with where they were picking, they picked up some nice potential with all their picks.

Nets: For taking a risk on Sean Williams. He fits their system perfectly. Yeah he's HIGH risk, but he's also HIGH reward. Considering how many people bust per year, this is a nice gamble at pick 17.

Losers:

It pains me to say it....but I think the biggest losers are my own Lakers. Javaris is a decent pick at 19...but its a loss in the sense that although the top 18 or so had a different order, there was noone that "slipped" to 19. Everyone I wanted was gone and Javaris was the only logical pick.

Then things get worse, SUN YUE? Are you kidding me. His highlight was him standing there dribbling for 5 seconds and then passing it. His scouting report says if he fills out, his upside is Luke Walton. LUKE WALTON? Thats sad if your UPSIDE is Luke Walton....oh and btw, we also happen to HAVE LUKE WALTON ALREADY! Then we get Pau Gasol's younger, not as good, less athletic brother. I don't like hearing we got a player LESS athletic than Pau Gasol. Honestly, both second round picks sounds like a ploy to sell tickets (large asian community in LA and the hype of having Pau's brother). And the other reason the Lakers are a big loser is they did nothing to get significantly better. No trades. Drafted a raw 19 yr old PG and 2 stiffs that likely won't make the NBA. Yeah, thats gotta make Kobe REALLY excited about next year. The Lakers can say goodbye to Kobe now.

2007 NBA Draft....What u think now??nba playoff ,nba teams

Not boston... they are headed no where... same with the pacers and Miami... Spurs, Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, Milwakee (If Yi plays faithfully and doesn't ***** about not liking the city)... these teams in my opinion are set... excluding the Spurs, they all can go a long time with good players... Spurs are too old but they made good draft picks... real steals that late... Charlotte, they got great with Jason Richardson, now they just have to get G Wallace and you have the freakishly athletic team, that can do way more than just jump... I mean Move Emeka to 5 and Wallace to 4 and JRich to 3 and you got small ball... they just need a few more of the right pieces... just need a good 5... that rebounds and blocks... and just defends...
Winner: Dallas
I think Portland just ensured the title in 3 or 4 years

with the draft, all the big men and guards, they have

lots of guards and frontline help, they are going to all

get good together.

people think i am crazy but Atlanta i think had the worst

draft by picking Harford and Law. The power forward

from miami, Florida players remind me of Duke players,

they are all good fundementally but don't have room to

grow past college, they are product of a good system

and have reached their potential. So Harford I think will

be a bench player. Acie also from what I read was

not that consistent. So to blow 3, 11 picks which

no difference makers, will come back to hunt the Hawks.

New York I don't think is going to do that much better,

and Boston I did like the pickup of Big Baby he will

do well in the NBA, just needs to stay in shape, so they

weill be better a bit, but not enough to made them a

playoff condender.

Black coaches cannot coach (in the NBA)? Maybe an exemption is K.C. Jones but hey, he coached the Ce

The latest one, Mike Brown. He was totally outcoached by Popovich. His Cavs won 2-0 against Spurs in regular season but they cannot salvage a win in the championship. Other example is Avery Johnson. Last year he was outclassed by Pat Riley even though he had the better team, the better player. Then this year at the 1st round play-off, he was totally outcoached by the old Don Nelson. His #1 Mavs outplayed by the #8 Warriors, what an embarrassment, hehehe. Don't point at the players, I mean the Mavericks, the Cavaliers, its their coaches to be blamed. The two above-mentioned coaches are over-rated. Mike Brown owns the most wins as a Cav's coach but hey, he got the King - LeBron James and the Big Z plus a nice core of role and young players. Even a Division 2 coach can lead this team into the play-off. Avery Johnson, an over-rated guy who cannot even get past the ragtag Warriors team in the 1st Round. Blacks are the better athletes, players but in coaching X %26amp; O's their mediocre.

Your ******* no brainer, knows the truth you son of a *****. Report It

To all no-brainer who answer my comments your all ******* idiots. Its the truth and know your basketball. You only know how to play but you didnt know your basketball. Your all morons. Report It

What does the color of a persons skin have to do with the ability to coach or anything else? He must be a good coach are he wouldn't be where he is today A coach can only coach his players he can't play for them. Good coaches and teams win games and lost games on any given day. Lets give credit where it is do, Coach Brown got them to the finals, they just got out played.
The only reason Avery Johnson was outcoached by Don Nelson is because Don is Dallas' former coach; he knows the team in and out.

Greg Popovich's Spurs roster is simply flatout better than Mike Brown's Cavs. Three main guys in Duncan, Parker and Ginobili and a deep bench with veteran awareness all over. In contrast, Mike Brown only has Lebron and a young, relatively inexperienced, still rough in the edges team.

Good coaches, regardless whether theyre black or white, need good players to win championships (and vice versa). KC Jones won because he have Bird, McHale, and Parish and an uber bench.
what about Lenny Wilkens most wins in NBA history, also won a championship, Bill Russell also won consecutive championships as player/coach.
Batman watches the NBA in the 70s and decided to stop watching.

Suddenly, Batman watches this year's NBA Finals and makes silly assumption.

How old are you anyway?
The Piston's white coach sure got out coached by the Cavs' black coach now, didn't he?

Guys like Riley, Nelson and Popovich not only "outcoach" black coaches (sometimes), they also outcoach white coaches as well. They are 3 of the all time greats. And Nelson does know the Mavs, he was there a lot longer than Avery Johnson has been there.

The other two #1 seeded coaches to lose to a #8 seed were Pat Riley and George Karl.

Every now and then a #8 will lose to a #1...it happens. Of course, when Nelson was coaching the Mavericks, they never even got to the Finals, not even the one time they were a top seed (2003). Johnson's already done better with the Mavericks than Nelson did, and Johnson's only in his 2nd full season. Nelson coached there for 8 years.

The Cavs had no players who were ready to compete in an NBA final series...none...not even Lebron. Especially against the Spurs.

A 2007 Spurs/Cavs final would have been a 4 game sweep for the Spurs regardless of who was coaching either team.

BTW, Dallas did not have "the better player" last year in the finals... Wade was by far the best player on the court in that series.

The Big Z??? Spare me... two inches taller than Wilt Chamberlain...and 3 inches taller than anyone else on the court in the finals... gee, I thought Wilt was only good because he was taller than everyone else... guess this series destroyed that little theory, huh? The Big Z totally SUCKS, and it's a tribute to Brown's coaching ability that he can take a horrible player like that to the finals.
well, the only reason the mavs got eliminated was that Don Nelson knows most of the players on the Mavs team weaknesses and strengths and taught Avery most of what he knows but not all. and Pat Riley has been a coach for how many seasons, a lot. that was just Avery's first year. and then Mike Brown worked under Gregg Popovich for a few seasons so Popovich taught him some of his work but not all. and it is also not the coaches who draft players, it is the general managers who either draft great talent or busts. and who won coach of the year these past two seasons, BLACK COACHES. so you need to get your facts checked before you post some bogus information genius.
I guess that you are limiting this to basketball since a black coach took his team to the Superbowl this year. Hey wait. Two black coaches took their teams to the Superbowl this year and that means a black coach won the Superbowl. I guess there are no X's and O's in football. Since we are in the basketball category, I will stick to basketball. If black coaches couldn't coach, would their teams have been in the NBA finals? I don't think so. Your theory is baseless. Although he didn't win the NBA finals. Byron Scott, a former NBA player, led the New Jersey Nets to the finals a few years ago. Besides what about the white coaches who have had good teams like Mike D'Antoni that just can't seem to get over the hump? He hasn't made it to the NBA finals. Does that make him less of a coach than Avery Johnson who has a NBA title as a player and has coached in the NBA finals? Any NBA expert, which you are not, will tell you that the NBA is a players league.
thats the most racist thing i saw on yahoo answers so far
dude don't start no **** like that y white players Kant play basketball no more yall have no heart how do u like it if somebody post that up but we taking over the NBA did u notice that the only time the bulls went to the second round ut was more black starters then white can u get up there a coach a team or better yet did u even play sports let along basketball
dont know about you buddy but i will rather be a better player than a better coach. who cares about the coaches really if you think about it??? its all about the players so i guess the blacks got it made
What a moron you are. Seriously a dooh-she-bag.

When two white coached teams play each other you must automatically come to the realization that polish-german coaches are superior to an irish-english coaches cause the polish-german guy won???

That's the depth of your intelligence as you yourself have presented with this question.

People that can't think in concepts beyond race are small minded, childish and dangerous to society. The way your brain works is primitive and I hope you don't have children.

This is not a basketball related question at all, heck it's not even a question - it's just another bird brains tired old crap that makes his little bird brain feel good to say in a public forum. Therefore my non-basketball non-answer - answer is the appropriate response to you...

go spurs.
The reason the Cavaliers lost was only like 10 to 15% because Mike Brown got out-coached. The Cavaliers should have won one, but thanks to Varejao... So that makes 85 to 90% of the reason Cavaliers lost is due to some other reason, which probably is that, although the Cavaliers played with heart, they just lack the talent.

And Avery's lost is because Don Nelsen knew everything about the Mavs. So it's got nothing to do with Avery not being a good coach. And losing to the Heat isn't the Mavericks fault. It's D-Wade's fault cause he was on fire! He took the game to the next level. So it's once again, not Avery's fault.

So just saying black coaches suck is a completely ridiculous statement. There are more crappy white coaches ever in history! Explain that!
Besides the fact that u sound like an ignorant racist. The better question is why is it that when teams win it's the players, yet when they lose it's the coach. I can't see why you think race has anything to do with it. For the few black coaches that were in the playoffs/ finals, how many white coaches didn't, and won't ever get that far?
The writer fails to give credit to the black coaches for the white coaches they "outcoached" to get to the finals. Including Flip Saunders who, even though he had the better team in detroit, lost to Mike Brown and Cleveland. The writer also fails to mention that both Riley and Popovich have been coaching for years, have championship experience and had won titles before. Mike Brown and Avery Johnson have both been head coaches less than 3 years. Coaching experience and talent has to count for something. It's great you gave Lebron and the Big Z credit for the wins and Brown the blame for the losses. You can't have it both ways. When Brown and Johnson have been coaching as long as Riley and Popovich we'll see about their X's and O's. Lastly, if the white players didn't choke in the big games, (Dirk), Avery Johnson would have a title.

07-08 mvp nba???

who do u think deserves the mvp award more this season?..Kobe or Chris Paul

07-08 mvp nba???nba jerseys

We responded 1.000 times this question and the answer is the same ...

Kobe Bryant is the MVP this season. !!!!

-Not because he is the player alive who made more points in one basketball game,

-Not because he is 2nd in points per game.

-Not because he have jumped an automobile (with the help hollywood FX)

But Kobe deserve the MVP because ...

- They started the season with an injured Odom,

- Later when they started to win ... Bynum and Ariza injured at their best moment.

- And after the big trade, Gasol lost some games by another injury too.

But Kobe continue playing every night, also playing injured, his "pinkie finger", and the result...

the Lakers are N a 1 of the most competitive conference in the league.

For these reasons Kobe is the MVP this season.

KOBE!!!! He really really desrvse it he has worked really hard.
Mr. 50+ and still lose the game, KOBE, does deserve it, because that is talent.
Chris Paul deserves it more, but it will be given to Bryant.
Kobe deserve it more

Why is the NBA's Atlantic Division so weak?

As of December 13, 2006, the New Jersey Nets lead the Atlantic Division with a record of eight wins and twelve losses, guaranteeing them the fourth seed in the playoffs if the season ended on that day. Now, put all of the teams from that division (the Raptors, the Celtics, the Knicks, and the 76ers) in any division in the Western Conference, and not a single one of those teams would make the playoffs. Jersey wouldn't even be able to get an eighth seed.

Why is it that even with big-name players like Jason Kidd, Allen Iverson, and Paul Pierce playing near the top of their games, Atlantic teams are still getting slapped around like red-headed stepchildren? What are some of your reasons for the disparity?

Why is the NBA's Atlantic Division so weak?lebron james

no dominate big men They cant compete with teams in the west because its all guard play and that is always ify but big men are defiante cause they shoot over 50%

poor teams means poor leadership and personnel. apparently these teams have made some big mistakes and are trying desperately to get out of the whole they've dug themselves in.
It's not only the Atlantic divison, the whole Eastern Conference sucks. They had their power years in the '90s now the Western conference is taking over, and it doesn't look like they are going to be letting up any time soon. GO JAZZ!!!!

What's a good formula for calculating the over-under outcome of a basketball game?

I have imported a whole NBA season's worth of statistics into an excel spreadsheet and am trying to develop a dependable formula to predict final scores. Any ideas?

In dynasty mode of NBA Live 08, how can I get my players to improve faster?

I'm finding it much harder to develop players in 08 as opposed to 07. Of my current starting 5, Chris Paul is the only player who really improves. Even Amare Stoudamire doesn't do much, and has actually gone down after 5 years. Is there a secret to effectively training players?

Does it matter how many games you play as opposed to how many you simulate? Does performance in playoffs matter?

I typically train 2 different players in 4 week incraments for the whole season, usually with an offensive minded trainer.

I feel like in 07, some players (especially rookies) improve by 2 or 3 points right away. So far, all my rookies either stay the same or get worse. Even one that started off at 77 overall, and averaged 15 pts and 8 rebs.

Thanks for the help.

Can you watch preseason games on NBA League Pass?

I ordered by "early bird" discount a month before the season starts. I was told it comes with NBATV. But when I turn to the channels, nothing's on there. Someone said the program starts on Oct. 30, which is the day regular season starts. Does that mean I won't be able to see presea games?

Im not saying you are stupid, but its just a stupid trade with no logic. NONE

Honestly, it wouldnt work. Try something else.
Yeah......I don't think the Rockets are looking to trade T-MAC. lol
I don't see that trade working, Kobe and Tmac are too much of the same kind of player. The Lakers have all the offense there going to need, they need to dump Vlad, Walton and someone else for a defensive minded forward who's not interested in scoring as much as he is defending.
yea t mac is important to them

What constitutes a sports "year" when determining a championship?

In leagues like AFL, MLS, MLB, and CFL the season starts and a champion is determined within the calendar year.

In the NFL, NHL, and NBA that isn't the case.

So, do the Colts and the eventual champs in the NHL and NBA get credited as champions of 2006 or 2007 without resorting to the "2006-07" nomenclature?

Personally, I think the year that the season starts is the year that the championship should be designated to. What would you decide? Thanks.

What constitutes a sports "year" when determining a championship?basketball shoes

That is generally the way it is recorded. Even though the College football championshp is determined in Jan. it is for the previous year in which the season started. In the NFL it's just the Super Bowl whatever number. Although the Colts were the AFC champs for 2006 prior to winning the Super Bowl. The Bears were the NFC 2006 champs.

What constitutes a sports "year" when determining a championship?nba champions ,nba teams

Ideally, in whichever year the majority of the season takes place.

So, in NCAA Football and NFL, the champs of the past season were 2006.

In NHL and NBA, the majority of the season (including playoffs) takes place after the new year, so 2007 would be better

Out of these nba teams????

who sucked the most this season????

New York Knicks

Milwaukee Bucks

Seattle Sonics

Sacramento Kings

L.A. Clippers

Memphis Grizzlies

Minnesota Timberwolves

Out of these nba teams????nba league pass

Miami Heat is worse than all of them ,i know that it wasn't one of the choices, they lost by around 50 that game against Toronto vs Miami , Miami had tied for the 3rd lowest points scored in an NBA game.

Out of these nba teams????nba tv ,nba teams

The worst is for Knicks! Sorry,Yankees Report It

he didn't answer your question! he answered miami! Report It

WOW THAT IS WEAK!!!!!!!!!! In your addl' details you said you didnt put miami cause we all know they suck yet you pick an answer that is miami. You dont deserve to ask questions on here. Report It

NYK (Isiah sucks!)
The Knicks!!! Is that that hard???
sorry to say but it was my NY Knicks. We had the highest expectations out of these teams. We were projected top six in the east but looksy here we're 19-50 what's up with that. Marbury and Isiah are the main reasons but let's not put exemption on the rest of the no defense playing (except for Balkman and Q-rich) woo the Knicks need a miracle...

Let's not forget the Boston massacre where Nates 3-pointer stopped it from being worst lost in Knicks history and when the nuggets beat us by 40-something. Q-rich saying that Boston wasn't all that....what was he thinking..
they all suck but the team that sucks the most is the timberwolves
Seattle. They have 1 of the best rookies this year (Durant) and still they suck.
I gotta agree with Vzeuk...Heat is 12-57 they suck pretty bad
of those teams minnesota did bad but its not like we didnt expect that. the knicks i thought would atleast win 30.

but the WORST is miami!! former champs, its a disgrace.
miami but that not on your list so

ny knicks
where's Miami?
close between sonics and knicks but i think knicks lost all year, sonics atlest got durant
~Cameron ~ that just proves the point that having the best draft pick makes you good. There will always be exceptions LEBRON but I would trade a first round first pick for a very good veteran any day.

The Timberwolves were probably the worst on the list do to the fact that they got practically a whole team for the Garnett trade and didn't capitalize on it.
The Knicks, because they have absolutely no future right now.
I think the NY Knicks are a laughingstock, but as far as how bad they sucked, I think the Miami Heat beat all.
knicks!!!!

They lost to boston by 45....they suck
Miami Heat and Minnesota!
Seattle. If you score over 110 points and still get blown out by 50 points, you had a bad friggin season.
Minnesota
L.A. Clippers
Sonics... one of the times they lost to the Nuggets they lost by 42 i think and then the next time they lost by 52.i just think they suck... 16 wins and 54 losses..... they can't win no matter how hard kevin durant tries. Kevin Durant needs to move to a team where his career will actually go somewhere.
They all have had their own degree of suckdom but I think you've got to give it to Miami as the Kings of Suckville this year.

1. Heat - from their coach on down. Let the countdown to the Michael Beasley sweepstakes begin!! Do you think Marion will be happy being the third wheel in Miami next year after he wanted out of Phoenix SO bad because he was the third wheel there?

2. Knicks - when is Isaiah getting run out of town?

3. Clips - just pencil this one in for, like, EVER.

4. Grizz - fire sale Anyone?

5. Bucks - how does it feel to be the second best player from your country?

6. Sonics - 168 points? Do you think they'll do better in OKC?

7. T-Wolves - when you give up your franchise player, your franchise gives up.

8. Kings - still reeling from that loss to the Lakers in the playoffs a few years ago. Can you say Curse of Vlade?
Bucks sadly
KNICKS
I live in Minnesota an the Timberwolves suck. I used to be a big fan but now I stopped watching them, because it's not fun.
I'd have to go with the Sonics. They are to young and inexperienced. Durant's a fine player but they need some seasoned Vets.
All of them SUCK
What? No Miami Heat? Definitely the Heat. They have the worst record. They have Shaq and Wade before and just 2 years removed from being champions then they suck big time this time. Only 12 wins? and they're what, playing for the ping pong balls? Hoping for a Michael Beasley shot? What do you guys think if they couldn't get him? Very bad season for the Heat.
Seattle Supersonics for sure, anytime u make history for the wrong reason u have had a bad season. Givng up a 168 points is sad, that kind of stuff neverhappens even to the worse of teams. This is the other reason why I think Durant does not deserve ROY, I think its gotta go to Al Horford, or Luis Scola they both make there team better, its not Dutants fault he's on a rebuilding team but he does not desrve ROY anybody can put up around 20 with the amonut of shots he takes.

What is a Baby Cortez Stingray
